Ryan Wood is the lead attorney of Robinson & Henry’s Bankruptcy & Debtor Defense division. He is an attorney well experienced in sorting out the difficult issues surrounding personal and small business bankruptcy. Ryan understands that facing financial crisis is emotionally stressful for his clients and he is known as a discerning and helpful listener with a gift for resolving difficult situations in ways that are most advantageous for his clients.

Ryan grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and as a young man lived for a year in South Africa where he taught first grade to underprivileged rural children. He again had the opportunity to serve in Africa when he joined his parents and siblings in Kenya where he worked in another disadvantaged school.

Following his African experiences, Ryan returned to the states to attend Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English. Later, he went on to earn a master’s degree at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Between graduate school and law school, Ryan had the privilege of seeing the law in action while serving as a legislative bill analyst in the New Mexico legislature. He gained experience in mortgage lending while working as an auditor for Thornburg Mortgage Company in Santa Fe. After moving to Denver, Ryan was accepted at University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor Degree and received the coveted Scholastic Excellence Award in Corporate Law.

Today, Ryan and his wife Louise live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado with their twin boys. He is an active member of his church and the South Metro Denver Realtors Association where he assists realtors in short sale negotiations and remains on call to answer their property law and bankruptcy questions.

Ryan’s experiences working with people from all walks of life have prepared him well to serve families and small businesses facing the emotional challenges of bankruptcy. His clients find in him a capable and caring ally, an insightful and knowledgeable advisor, and an aggressive defender.
