Robert (Bob) C. Martell was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After retiring from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Chief Petty Officer, Bob received his law degree from the University of New Hampshire (J.D. 2000). He obtained his Masters Degree in Admiralty Law from Tulane University Law School (LL.M 2002), where he served as a member of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Bob was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in 2000 and the Louisiana Bar in 2003. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Districts Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. After graduating from Tulane, Bob spent three years with a mid-sized New Orleans maritime defense firm. Quickly realizing that he was on the wrong side, and not comfortable helping maritime insurance companies and employers from paying for their employees injuries, Bob opened his own law practice where he helps injured maritime workers. He currently is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, Covington Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the National Trial Lawyers Association.
