Litigation & Prosecution:
Mr. Wolf has enjoyed considerable success on both the litigation and prosecution sides of IP law. For instance, Mr. Wolf successfully argued a motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction in a heated copyright dispute over medical coders. In that litigation, the court dismissed the case from Pennsylvania, allowing WHGC's client to file in California. After further litigation, the client ended up settling on favorable terms. Similarly, on the patent front, Mr. Wolf recently authored a food processing patent application involving a new type of vegetable cutting apparatus that was successfully licensed. The licensed device is now in widespread use in the food processing industry.
Prior to joining WHGC, Mr. Wolf worked for one of Los Angeles' premier intellectual property law firms where he gathered an extensive amount of experience in both patent prosecution and litigation. During that time, Mr. Wolf drafted numerous patent applications and participated in patent litigation involving Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Wolf also draws from his civil litigation expertise stemming from a significant amount of experience acquired during his time at one of Southern California's leading automotive defense firms.
