Albert J. Marcotte has been serving the Greater Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire for 50 years.  His accessibility, enthusiasm, and legal skill inevitably led him to grow a firm of top notch attorneys that mirrored his combination of common sense and legal acumen.

Mr. Marcotte grew up in Lowell, attended Keith Academy, then Boston College and Boston College School of Law.  He served in the Army JAG, then returned to Lowell to practice law and run his family's taxi and limousine services.  As his abilities as an attorney became obvious, he ultimately had to forego the other businesses which had given him so much of his closeness to and empathy with his fellow Lowell residents. 

Mr. Marcotte quickly became recognized as a superior trial advocate.  A knack for bringing seemingly complex situations down to their more simple essence brought consistent success in the District and Superior Courts, predominately with criminal and personal injury cases. His versatility and breadth of legal ability became memorialized in an Appeals Court decision dealing with a remarkably different legal area.  In what has become a leading appellate decision on ownership of joint bank accounts, he was able to go behind the legal title of an account to recover funds for other unnamed beneficiaries of the deceased creator of the account.

Albert Marcotte has always taken an interest in the legal profession that supersedes his own practice.  He served as an officer of the Greater Lowell Bar Association culminating in his presidency.  He became involved in statewide issues relating to legal rights, particularly through the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.  He promptly encouraged other attorneys who came to work with him to do the same.

Albert Marcotte relishes dealing with the public, and his clients have developed steadfast loyalties to him.  A far cry from anyone's image of the stuffy attorney, the same skill of communicating which put juries at ease for many years has also put at ease the thousands of people that have approached him with legal problems ranging from criminal indictments to severe consequences from faulty medical care.
