Charles W. March has been practicing workers compensation, employment discrimination-union representation, and injury law statewide in Maine for twenty -five. During those years he has developed a rapport with people who have been devastated by employment discrimination, serious injury on or off the job, or a denial of benefits by employers or insurance companies who fail to comply with the law. Many of Mr. March's clients are highly skilled employees who have been threatened with a loss of employment or earning capacity because of an employer's or insurer's adverse action. He has fought for equal justice for people with complex medical issues causing disability such as severe back injuries, head injuries, psychiatric syndromes, pulmonary, and other serious illness or injury. His clients include teamsters and delivery drivers, shipbuilders and longshoremen, construction trades, nurses and other medical professionals and all other workers with work injuries or other issues. He travels nationwide to advocate for contractors injured in foreign countries under the Defense Base Act. Mr. March has a wide client base among people facing discrimination in the workplace because of disability gender, race or ethnic background. In his career he has forced the largest employers and insurers to follow the law and compensate injured employees through a federal or state court or agency order.
A former union organizer, Mr. March has represented many clients with labor, civil rights and disability issues before labor boards and courts, the EEOC, the Maine Human Rights Commission, the Department of Labor, Social Security Administration, Maine Workers' Compensation Board, and all courts. He works collaboratively with other attorneys specializing in all aspects of the law throughout the United States, particularly on work injuries, disability and insurance claim denials. He is proficient in Spanish, works extensively with translators and community leaders on behalf of people needing vigorous representation who are not proficient in English.
