Mr. Williams founded R.A.Williams Law Firm, P.A., and its predecessor, Williams & Iversen, P.A., in 1998. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School in 1970 where he was a Stone Scholar and a member of the Law Review. After graduation, he was judicial clerk on the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. He is a member of the Labor Law Section of the American Bar Association, a former chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar Association, and has chaired numerous bar committees at the county, state and national level. Dick has been a chapter editor of the Developing Labor Law for a number of years, and has co-chaired the CLE planning committee for the ABA Labor and Employment Section Annual National Conference. He is also a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the International Society of Barristers, all of which are by invitation only. Dick has extensive experience in the field of employment law. Dick frequently speaks at Continuing Legal Education Seminars and professional meetings. He has also acted as the course developer and lead lecturer in conjunction with the Minnesota Continuing Education two-day seminar on alternative dispute resolution advocacy and has been named as a “Super Lawyer” by the Minnesota Law and Politics publication.
