Will Maiberger has been involved in 30+ trials during his legal career as either “first-chair” or “second-chair” counsel for his various clients, which include seriously injured people, and families who have lost one or more loved one(s) due to the negligence of another person and/or company. During the first eight years of his legal career, Will worked as civil defense trial lawyer, defending wrongful death and personal injury cases, and insurance “bad faith” cases. Gaining this experience on the defense side provided him with a unique insight of how defense counsel, their clients and insurance carriers think regarding pre-trial and trial strategy, and case evaluation.
Will has given speeches on mass tort litigation and the multi-district litigation (MDL) process, product liability issues and the mechanics of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. He has also been active in his local trial bar, serving as an officer and director of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association since becoming a plaintiffs’ trial lawyer in 2001.
In addition to the demands of a trial lawyer’s practice, Will spends quality time with his wife, Mackey, R.N., and daughters, Roxanna and Carter. Roxanna excels as a student and band member at San Antonio’s Reagan High School, and Carter is currently a “student” at First Presbyterian Church Children’s Center in downtown San Antonio, an institution accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.
