Mr. Williams has an array of litigation experience representing public as well as private entities. His litigation experience includes numerous first chair trials to both the bench and juries which have included subject areas such as employment defense, criminal prosecutions, contract disputes, government appropriations, premises liability and personal injury. Mr. Williams has also participated in numerous AAA arbitrations on behalf of management regarding employee discipline matters. He also has counseled small minority-owned businesses in the areas of formation as well as contract negotiation.
Mr. Williams is a former Assistant City Solicitor for the Cincinnati of City Solicitor's Office Civil Section and he also served as a prosecutor for the Solicitor's Office as well as the Village of Lincoln Heights. Mr. Williams was also appointed as the Magistrate of the Village of Golf Manor. Mr. Williams also served on the monitoring team which was in charge of implementing reforms agreed to in a settlement agreement between the Cincinnati Police Department and the justice department regarding racial profiling and discriminatory treatment of African – American citizens. Mr. Williams also acted as Co- General Counsel to the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority his duties included advice and counsel, representation in civil matters as well as authority counsel in public finance projects.
Mr. Williams received his law degree from SUNY Buffalo and his BA from SUNY Purchase. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, Kentucky and New York. He is also admitted to practice in U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the District of Columbia, the Federal District Courts of Ohio and Eastern District of Kentucky, and the Federal Court of Claims.
He is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio, America bar associations and the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati and has served on various committees of those associations including past chair of the Young lawyers Section for the Cincinnati Bar Association and a former member of the House of Delegates of the ABA. He has also served as past President of the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati and a past President of the Cincinnati Bar Foundation.
Mr. Williams is a past recipient of the Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award for Lawyers 40 and Under. He his member of Leadership Cincinnati (Class 23) and has served on various civic and nonprofit organizations including past president of Pro-Seniors and ProKids. He is a current board member of the Beech Acres Parenting Center and Cincinnati Reds Hall of fame.
