James P. (Jim) Magner graduated from George Mason University School of Law in 2000, after working for six years as a transportation industry lobbyist. Jim worked for the United States Coast Guard Office of Military Justice before entering private practice, where he litigated intellectual property, construction and complex business cases. Jim relocated to Virginia Beach where he practiced in the areas of civil litigation, corporate law, real estate law, estate planning, eminent domain, maritime and admiralty law, construction law and employment law. Jim returned to Northern Virginia in 2009 and expanded his practice to include personal injury and professional malpractice. Jim has won several significant jury verdicts, and has earned a reputation for representing individuals and small businesses against large corporate defendants in complex civil cases.
