Shirley primarily handles litigation cases with an emphasis in the areas of sinkhole litigation, complex commercial litigation, construction defects, premises liability, product liability, complex/bodily injury, consumer protection, and property damages matters encompassing all exposure levels. As an experienced litigator, she has handled all phases from pre-litigation through conclusion, whether through settlement or trial, including post-trial matters.
Shirley received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Business, with a minor in Economics, from the University of South Florida in 1997 and her juris doctor in 2000 from Washington University School of Law. She received several honors while attending the University of South Florida including: Golden Key Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Two Time Campus Scholar Recipient, Nominated Outstanding Student and Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. While attending Washington University School of Law, Shirley held an Associate Editor position on Washington University's Journal of Law and Policy Law Review and published a recent development in the law review.
Shirley is a member of The Florida Bar, the St. Petersburg Bar Association, and The State Bar of California. She is admitted to practice before the state courts of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, and the state courts of California.
