Lynette Whitehurst was born and raised in Williston, Florida. After graduating from Williston High School in 1996, she attended Santa Fe College on a full scholarship. After taking time away from school to work, including several years at Advance Homestead Title in Ocala Florida, Ms. Whitehurst completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Business at Saint Leo University in 2006. Ms. Whitehurst continued her education at Saint Leo University where, in 2008, she earned her Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management.
Ms. Whitehurst completed her education at the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she received a Juris Doctor degree in 2011. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2011.
During law school, Ms. Whitehurst worked for Scruggs & Carmichael, P.A. in Gainesville, Florida as a legal clerk. During her final semester at UF Law, she completed the Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinic's Full Representation Clinic where she earned her certificate as a Certified Legal Intern.
Ms. Whitehurst joined the firm in 2012 and practices civil litigation, family law, business law, and real estate litigation. In addition to her position at the firm, Ms. Whitehurst holds a position as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law teaching small group Interviewing, Negotiation and Counseling.
