Shannon Lukei received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, with a major in English and departmental honors in 1996. She also was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Honors Society.
She went on to attend Loyola Law School on an academic scholarship, and graduated in 1999 as a member of the St. Thomas More Honor Society. While at Loyola, Ms. Lukei was an Articles Editor for the Loyola Law Review and completed a judicial externship with U.S. District Court Judge Gary Taylor. In addition, in 1997 she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Ethical Lawyering.
Ms. Lukei received her initial legal experience at the defense firm of Haight, Brown and Bonesteel, where she defended insurance companies in construction defect, breach of contract, product liability and personal injury litigation. She joined the firm as an associate in 2002, and is currently working on all phases of mass tort litigation in the firm's pharmaceutical division.
Ms. Lukei is admitted to the California Bar and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Central District of California. She is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), where she serves as a California representative on the New Lawyers Division Board of Governors. She also is a member of the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ), the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA), and the Banyard Inns of Court.
