Jerry Lutkenhaus is a graduate of the University of Iowa Law School in 1973. He is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Bar Association Committee on Workers Compensation.
PRACTICE AREAS
Mr. Lutkenhaus has practiced Workers' Compensation Law & Social Security Law for over 30 years in Central Virginia with cases litigated in the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission, Virginia Court of Appeals, and the Virginia Supreme Court.
He has practiced Social Security Disability for over 30 years in Central Virginia with cases litigated in the Office of Hearings and Appeals, Appeals Council, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia & has reversed the Social Security Administration 8 times in federal court.
He has done over 1,000 hearings and recently resolved a workers compensation case for $1,450,000 in November, 2007. This case will eventually mean a $5,000,000.00 payout for the claimant.
Mr. Lutkenhaus lectured on Social Security Disability in January 2008 to a group of lawyers. In April 2007 Lutkenhaus lectured on Workers Compensation Tactics. In 2002 he lectured on Virginia Workers Compensation to the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. In 2003 Lutkenhaus lectured on SSI for the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
