Nanette L. Wesley recently left the law firm of Cozen O'Connor where she was a partner, to work with Kevin and Craig, to provide big firm quality and experience to clients, at small firm value. Nanette tailors particular services to each client, depending on the needs of each client, as no insurer's approach is exactly the same.

Nanette focuses her practice on first-party and third-party coverage and defense for the London Market of insurers and domestic surplus lines and admitted carriers throughout the Southeast, including Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Carolinas.

Nanette routinely addresses small and high exposure property claims arising from both manuscript and form policies, and prosecutes and defends declaratory actions in state and federal courts. Nanette's practice involves all aspects of property loss, including complex business income loss, forensic accounting, examinations under oath, and Nanette has handled many arson cases from the initial cause and origin, working closely with adjusters and other experts. Nanette has also handled hundreds of arbitrations and mediations.

Nanette has substantial experience with Cat losses, including litigating more than 200 Hurricane Katrina and Rita claims in Louisiana and Mississippi state and federal courts. Nanette also has significant expertise in extra-contractual/bad faith litigation She also handles specie, commercial crime, inland marine, admiralty, and commercial carrier insurance cases. In addition, Nanette prosecutes subrogation recovery actions on behalf of insurers.

Nanette also concentrates a large portion of her practice on defending third-party liability claims arising from wrongful death, professional liability, construction defect, and premises liability, and has successfully defended multiple insureds in federal and state courts. Nanette has particular expertise in factual and expert discovery development to position a case for dismissal on dispositive motion.

Nanette is regularly retained to manage or supervise litigation in all parts of the country on behalf of insurers for both property and liability claims.

Nanette received her bachelor’s degree in English, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her law degree from Georgia State University, College of Law cum laude. She graduated in the top 7 percent of her class and was a member of a nationally ranked moot court team that placed second among top-ranked law schools. She clerked for the late Justice Weltner of the Supreme Court of Georgia.
