Jamie E. Weiss is a founding attorney at Complex Litigation Group LLC with 12 years of experience working in antitrust, securities and personal injury cases. As the managing attorney at Complex Litigation Group LLC, Jamie is in charge of administration. She also participates in the firm's long-term growth and strategic development.
Jamie attended Indiana University, receiving Bachelors of Art in Psychology and Telecommunications. She received her Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law-Illinois Institute of Technology in 1995. She also earned a Certificate in Environmental Law at Kent.
Prior to joining Complex Litigation Group LLC, Jamie worked for the Law Offices of Eric D. Freed on antitrust and securities class action cases, including High Fructose Corn Syrup litigation, Commercial Explosives litigation, and Prudential Life Practices cases. Prior to that, Jamie specialized in toxic torts at a boutique plaintiffs' personal injury firm in Chicago. Jamie is actively involved in environmental issues, animal sheltering and animal rights, and is a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund. She has performed pro bono work on behalf of area animal shelters and sits on the Board of Illinois Cocker Spaniel and Small Dog Rescue. Jamie lobbies on behalf of protection for animals in many settings including wild mustangs, performing animals, spay and neuter campaigns, and a halt to cruel and unnecessary animal testing and puppy mills, among other causes.
Jamie's memberships include WWF, PETA, NWF, the Ocean Conservancy, HSUS, ASPCA, Last Chance for Animals, Alley Cat Allies, Rainforest Alliance, Greenpeace, NAVS, AVAR, various Mustang and Premarin horse rescue groups, as well as area animal shelters.
