Emily works in the Divorce and Family Law Section and her areas of expertise include Divorce and Family Law, Criminal Defense and Municipal Prosecution. Emily also works with the Frac Sand, Mining and Minerals Section. In her Family Law practice, Emily helps families navigate situations such as divorce, child custody and adoption. After working as a prosecutor for over a decade, Emily also has a white collar criminal defense practice. In the Frac Sand Mining and Minerals section, she assists clients related to permitting, conditional use permits and other areas of litigation associated with processing facilities and frac sand mining.
Prior to joining the firm, Emily prosecuted felony and misdemeanor domestic violence and sexual assault cases as an Assistant District Attorney for both Eau Claire and La Crosse Counties. At the same time, she developed alternative means for achieving justice by developing and managing the Eau Claire County Diversion Program and working closely with other committees for alternative justice.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Emily received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin. Emily is a member of the Eau Claire County Bar Association and the Wisconsin Bar Association.
Emily also serves the community by coaching and serving on boards for wrestling and softball. In her free time, Emily earned her black belt in karate, enjoys running and spending time with her husband and children.
