France A. Lopez, Esq. Is a solo practitioner in the areas of family and immigration law in Orlando, Florida. Prior to the establishment of her law practice in Florida, she served the U.S. General Services Department as the Regional Director of the Small Business Utilization Office from December 2002 through June 2005. In this position, she oversaw the office that facilitated federal contracting opportunities for small businesses in the New England Region. Prior to her federal government service, she worked under the administration of three Republican Governors. In 1995, the William Weld administration appointed her as Executive Director of the State Office of Minority and Women Business. This was a regulatory agency with an enforcement component. In 1999, Governor Paul Cellucci appointed her as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission and was re-appointed in 2002 by Governor Jane Swift. In this role, she oversaw the agency and conducted administrative hearings with four other appointed Commissioners. Her executive skiEs combined with her administrative hearing experiences supplements her legal background in a way that offers a credible, experienced and knowledgeable professional to all her clients.

Her understanding of Family Law extends the boundaries of the regulations, statutes and courtroom hearings. Her priority is to educate her clients on the current laws and how she can work with them to adjust, support or restore their families within the boundaries of these law's. As a mother and wife she knows the hardships that can arise within the different family dynamics, but it is her knowledge and tenacity that will help her navigate her clients to the best outcome within their specific circumstances.

She is the proud daughter of immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic who worked hard to achieve the American dream. She is the wife of an immigrant from Lebanon. The attainment of American citizenship was the prize for her parents as well as her husband. As an immigration attorney she is ready to help individuals work within the boundaries of American Immigration Law to achieve their dreams. Her membership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association is an asset that she utilizes to help non-immigrants and immigrants address their specific issues and achieve legal status and or American citizenship.
 
She is fluent in Spanish and extends this knowledge to assist the Spanish speaking community through the legal system.

Ms. Lopez received her Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Brandeis University in 1985 and her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1989. She is a member of the Florida and Massachusetts Bar. Ms. Lopez was admitted by the bar of the United States Supreme Court in 2002. She is also a current member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Central Florida Family Law American Inn of Court (CFFLAIOC), the Central Florida Women Association of Lawyers (CFWAL) and the Central Florida Hispanic Bar Association (HBCAF). Throughout her career, she has enjoyed speaking to groups of women, small businesses, minority groups and motivating them to succeed and pursue their highest goals.

On the personal side, Ms. Lopez lives in Orlando with her husband Jay Chahine and her son Gabriel.
