Robert Weinberger received his undergraduate degree in Biopsychology and Neurophysiology in 1976 from the University of Colorado, attended law school at the University of San Diego and the University of Denver. He obtained his degree and was admitted to practice in 1979.
He formed the Law Offices of Robert A. Weinberger, P.C., now Weinberger Law Offices, in February of 1989.
Mr. Weinberger practices general liability defense law. His representation includes premises liability, products liability, personal injury litigation, construction law (representing contractors, architects, engineers, health practitioners, health facilities and other professionals), workers' compensation law and employment litigation. He has been retained as general counsel to a nationwide construction company and oversees the litigation process and the activities of local counsel practicing in the various jurisdictions in which the company conducts business. He provides guidance regarding the preparation of contracts for specific projects and renders advice regarding the establishment and implementation of risk management policies, practices and procedures. This experience has allowed our firm to obtain a diverse perspective with respect to litigation strategies unique to each state where the company performs its work. Information gleaned in this capacity has enhanced diversity in our experience, background and perspectives of cases. This diversity allows us to provide our clients a broad perspective in ideas, resources and skills.
Mr. Weinberger co-taught a forensic psychology class for upper level undergraduate students at the University of Colorado. Mr. Weinberger has also lectured at seminars involving toxic tort litigation, personal injury and workers' compensation law, malpractice, and motion and biomechanical engineering for injury analysis and for other employment related applications.
Mr. Weinberger was previously the state liaison for the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Workers' Compensation Committee and a DRI Toxic Tort Committee member. He is a former Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Workers' Compensation Committee and Co-Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Workers' Compensation Legislative Committee. As Co-Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Workers' Compensation Legislative Committee, he testified on behalf of the Colorado Bar Association regarding proposed workers' compensation legislation before the Colorado General Assembly. He is a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and the DRI, and a member of the Denver, Colorado, and American Bar Associations.
