Mike Weinberg advises companies, private equity funds, and other investment organizations, focusing primarily on acquisition, sale, and investment transactions. He has extensive experience advising in distressed transactions, both within and outside the bankruptcy process, and with complex U.S. and international joint ventures. He also is the coordinator for all of the Firm's transactional practices in Dallas.

The private equity funds and investment organizations with which Mike has worked include Bay Harbour Management, Parallel Investment Partners, Patriarch Partners, The Riverside Company, SKM Growth Investors, and WL Ross & Co. Corporate clients have included Alderwoods Group, Arctic Glacier, ICANN, Micron Technology, Piper Jaffray, and Teleglobe.

Representative transactions include Micron Technology's formation of IM Flash Technologies, a $5.2 billion joint venture with Intel to manufacture NAND flash memory for consumer electronics removable data storage and handheld communication devices; Micron Technology's formation of MeiYa Technology, a $1.1 billion joint venture with Nanya Technology to manufacture stack DRAM products; WL Ross & Co.'s $435 million stalking horse bid for, and acquisition of, the loan servicing unit of bankrupt American Home Mortgage Investment Corp.; and Bay Harbour's $510 million bankruptcy buyout, by a joint venture with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, and Robert Earl, CEO and cofounder of Planet Hollywood International, of the assets of Aladdin Gaming. Mike has represented Patriarch Partners in numerous investment transactions, including Croscill, Best Textiles, and Stila Corporation, and Parallel Investment Partners in investments in Winnercomm, Skycam, Mealey's Furniture, and many others.
