Benjamin specializes in complex commercial litigation and has experience litigating a variety of different types of complex cases involving business torts, contract disputes, construction defect or payment disputes, real-estate development litigation, products liability, commercial lending disputes, property recovery, engineering malpractice, disputes involving condominium or homeowner associations, and FHA disability barrier litigation, among others. Benjamin has extensive experience litigating these and other types of complex cases in several state and federal trial courts, as well as in the Florida Appellate Courts and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Prior to joining the Business Trial Group of Morgan & Morgan, P.A., Benjamin practiced for several years in the national law firm of Baker & Hostetler, LLP.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
Benjamin was recently awarded the “Providing the Light” award by the COMPACT organization, a mentoring program serving the Orange County Public Schools. The “Providing the Light” award is given to individuals who excel in mentoring Orange County Public School students.
During law school, Benjamin received a number of appellate oral advocacy awards. He reached the Final Four of the 2005 FSU College of Law Florida Supreme Court oral argument competition. Benjamin was also Runner-Up at the 2006 Luke Charles Moore Invitational Moot Court Competition held by Howard University. Here, he was also awarded the “Best Brief” award as well as the “Runner-Up Best Oralist” award.
From 2004-2007, Benjamin was also a member of the Law Review of the FSU College of Law.
