Janet was born and grew up near Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Wheaton, Illinois to attend Wheaton College. She was married to her husband, Richard while still in college, then attended law school at the Glen Ellyn campus of Northern Illinois University College of Law in the evenings while raising their daughter during the day. She has been married for over 40 years.
Janet enjoys practicing law as a helping profession and has been solving problems for clients who are primarily individuals, families and small businesses for more than twenty-five years. In that period of time, she has had extensive experience bankruptcy, family law, wills, trusts, estate planning, probate, collections, real estate, appeals and small business issues. Her object is to provide individualized, top quality legal services at a reasonable price. She believes in working with clients directly at all times- they should not be working with secretaries, legal assistants or a revolving series of attorneys. Her goal is to be the legal equivalent of a "family practice" doctor to meet all of the client's family's legal needs.
Janet enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities, travel and photography. She has served on various committees of the DuPage County Bar Association, has chaired the Legal Aid Committee and has been active in providing Legal Aid services. She attends Wheaton Bible Church.
