Experienced in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, Marc's practice focuses on the retail leasing sector. Marc represents a number of prominent national and New York City retail developers in connection with the leasing of their various projects ranging from regional enclosed malls to urban vertical centers and mixed use projects to "street" locations. In connection with such representation, Marc counsels his clients on the wide variety of issues which arise in the retail leasing arena and is well versed in the nuances of co-tenancy clauses, kick-out rights, assignment and subletting issues and exclusive clauses.
Marc has lectured on retail lease issues at Columbia University and on behalf of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Marc has recently represented Vornado Realty Trust in connection with leases for the Disney Stores Times Square flagship and JC Penney's only Manhattan location as well as numerous leases for the redevelopment of Bergen Town Center in Paramus, New Jersey and the development of Rego Center in Rego Park, New York.
Marc joined Goldfarb & Fleece in April, 2000, after practicing real estate law at the New York City firm of Goldberg Weprin Finkel Goldstein LLP, and became a partner in January, 2009.
