Sarah C. Lichtenstein is a partner at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara & Einiger, LLP.
Having practiced in New York City and Long Island, Ms. Lichtenstein has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation encompassing a broad range of issues including partnerships, corporate governance, real estate, leases, zoning, commercial paper, secured transactions, banking, business contracts, employment, unfair competition, and health care provider issues. Her experience also includes bankruptcy and estates litigation. She has successfully briefed and argued numerous appeals, including in the Court of Appeals, New York 's highest court.
Ms. Lichtenstein serves as a faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Northeast Deposition program and for a number of years was on the Chapter 7 Panel of Bankruptcy Trustees in the Southern District of New York. She was an active member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York , where she served on a number of committees including the Committee on State Courts of Superior Jurisdiction. She also chaired the City Bar's Committee on State Legislation and was appointed to the Council on Judicial Administration.
She has written numerous articles on the rights and interests of various parties in the bankruptcy process, which have been published in the New York State Bar Journal and the New York Law Journal.
Ms. Lichtenstein received her B.A. with honors from Wellesley College and her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She is admitted to practice law in New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
