Mr. Lewis' work currently focuses on complex litigation involving insurance coverage, commercial disputes, and personal injury. Mr. Lewis' prior experience includes federal and state securities litigation, labor and employment litigation, and defense of consumer financial services. Due to his experience in handling a variety of litigation issues, Mr. Lewis is adept in both federal and state court practice and a formidable adversary in the courtroom.
Mr. Lewis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002, receiving special honors and recognition for his thesis: The Philosophy of the Internet. He graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2005 from University of Houston Law Center where he served as the Research Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law and was a member of the Mock Trial Team.
Mr. Lewis was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2005 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas. Mr. Lewis is a Member of the American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Association, serving as a chair of the annual Judiciary Cruise program from 2007 to 2009.
When not litigating, Mr. Lewis volunteers at the Shriners Hospital for Children as a member of the Hospital Driver's Corps. Mr. Lewis is also active in the Houston community, serving as a Houston Stock Show and Rodeo Committeeman, a member of the Cut Above Cookers Team at the annual World Championship of BBQ, and as Assistant Legal Counsel for the Arabia Shrine Temple of Houston
