Kirk Liebengood graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint and attended Wayne State University Law School while raising a family and working nights at a factory for General Motors. He graduated and passed the bar in 1977 and immediately began working on behalf of poor people as a legal aid lawyer. Since 1979 he has been a private practice. He taught criminal justice in the mid 80's at the U of M-Flint. He has been responsible for a number of life changing cases effecting literally thousands of people. He enjoys spending his work life assisting those who need it the most. He has been repeatedly called on upon by Federal judges to assist in cases where civil rights plaintiffs do not have attorneys. He has successfully sued the government, banks, insurance companies, lawyers, hospitals, and countless employers. He is adept at unwinding, complicated situations to the advantage of his clients.
