Lincoln, David B.

Michael is the firm's Managing Partner and a former United States Marine whose practice areas include civil litigation, business development and international business transactions. He received a B.A. degree in Political Science and an M.S. in Criminology from Fresno State, and a J.D. degree from The University of San Diego School of Law. Before starting the firm, Michael worked as a summer associate at Arizona's second largest law firm: Fennemore Craig in the Corporate Litigation Department. Michael also worked for the University of San Diego Environmental Law Clinic where he co-authored a brief that ultimately saved the La Jolla Seals from their removal in 2009. Additionally, Michael clerked for California Superior Court Judge Socrates Manoukian in Santa Clara County.

Michael has worked on matters related to all facets of business litigation including drafting business plans, corporate formation and governance, contract drafting and negotiating, and litigation. Michael also has been successful negotiating million dollar contracts between American contractors and Middle Eastern governments. Michael gives back to the Armed Services by providing pro bono legal services to Marines and Sailors in need of legal assistance through the Military Pro Bono Project.

While in law school, Michael participated in Mock Trial reaching the semi-finals in three tournaments and winning best witness in one. Michael received the Witkin and Cali High Grade Awards in Legal Writing, Civil Procedure, Property Law, and Torts. He also wrote an article on the controversial interrogation methods used by the U.S. Government at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for the University of San Diego International Law Journal.

Michael is a member of the California Bar Association, San Diego County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Member of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Beach Town Council, Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors of One Coast Realty, Order of Omega, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the National Deans List, National Honor Society, and was an Dwight D. Eisenhower Scholarship Recipient.

In practice Michael takes pride in being accessible to his clients and providing them with the legal service they expect.
