Jim Liang is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group of Perkins Coie LLP. His practice focuses on the procurement and enforcement of patents. He is experienced with a broad variety of technology fields, including semiconductor packaging, image sensor design and fabrication, electrical circuit design, computer architecture design, software engineering, medical device design and treatment methods, mechanical engineering, chemical compositions, chemical processing and control systems. Mr. Liang graduated from the Chemical Engineering program at the University of Washington in 1995, where he received diverse course work, including fluid dynamics, process design, process control, and research in surface and colloid sciences. After graduation, he worked as a process engineer and a control system engineer for seven years. In particular, he worked as a control system engineer designing process control schemes and configuring computer networks for remote data acquisition and control. He is a registered Professional Engineer in both Chemical Engineering and Control Systems in the State of Washington.
