Julie Levinson Pustilnik is an associate attorney at Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen, representing seriously injured victims and their families. As an associate attorney, Julie practices in all area of personal injury, including construction negligence, products liability, medical malpractice, premises liability and auto liability.
In 2012, Julie received a Jury Verdict Reporter 2012 Trial Lawyer Excellence Award for achieving the highest record jury verdict in 2012. The award honored successful representation of Anesi Ozmon clients. Julie is dedicated to fighting for justice on behalf of her clients during times of tragedy and loss.
Julie was part of the Anesi Ozmon team that won a $67 million jury verdict for a man who suffered severe and debilitating burns in a grain bin explosion while doing his job. This verdict will help provide future support for his family. Julie strives to help others achieve the security they lose when suffering from injury.
Julie graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011, where she excelled in the areas of courtroom advocacy. Julie served as the Captain of Chicago-Kent’s National Trial Advocacy Team, and in 2010, Julie and her team won the prestigious NITA Tournament of Champions. The teamed gained national recognition, propelling Chicago-Kent into the third highest ranked trial advocacy program in the country. Julie is quickly putting her excellent trial skills to use at Anesi Ozmon as a zealous advocate for our Plaintiffs.
While at Chicago-Kent, Julie received the CALI award of Excellence in Trial Advocacy 1, Litigation Technology, and Legal Writing IV. Julie also received the Best Advocate Award for Intensive Trial Advocacy. Upon graduation, Julie received the Bar and Gavel Award for outstanding service to the school, community and legal profession.
While in law school, Julie served a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Judge Martin S. Agran at the Cook County Circuit Court. Julie also volunteered at the Cook County Domestic Violence Courthouse, assisting victims of domestic abuse.
In 2006, Julie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. While in Champaign, she was actively involved in many charitable organizations, including Colleges Against Cancer, the American Cancer Society, and Alternative Spring Break Social Action Program.
While working at Anesi Ozmon, Julie co-authored the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education article on Illinois Civil Practice: Opening the Case – Original Process and Appearance. Julie is an active member of various Chicago and Illinois bar associations.
