Neil F. Lewis, Esq. is well-known in Tampa as an outstanding immigration attorney. Neil has been practicing immigration law exclusively since he founded his own firm, Neil F. Lewis P.A. -- Immigration Attorneys, in August 1997.

Neil has a monthly column in Centro Mi Diario (Spanish language newspaper in Tampa), and is a frequent speaker at local immigration conferences. Neil was a Board Member of the local chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association from 2000-2004, and has been a member from 1997 -present. Neil has previously made presentations to the Criminal Bar, regarding consequences of plea agreements, and he has been an invited speaker at the Stetson University College of Law.

Clients often ask why Neil chose to be an immigration attorney, and the answer is not so simple. Neil did not choose to the immigration attorney. Immigration chose Neil.

In 1997 Neil was a lawyer with only one year of experience under his belt. He did not know much about the law, but he knew a little immigration from his first job. By being truthful with his clients about his lack of experience while impressing them with his passion for the job, Neil became an immigration attorney, and he could not be happier. Immigration law is one of the few areas in the law were attorney can do a good thing for his client without having to attack someone else's client. Most often, the practice of law in Neil's office is fun and friendly, and the clients love the service and the firm.

Neil is a 1996 graduate on the law school at the College of William and Mary. Prior to that, Neil graduated from the University of South Carolina, with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Before attending South Carolina, Neil was United States Marine for four years. Neil was discharged from the Marine Corps honorably and as a corporal hi 1987.
