Jeffrey T. Walter
Attorney Jeffrey Walter's practice areas include business law, commercial transactions, consumer protection, contracts, misrepresentation and fraud, general civil litigation, negligence, personal injury, medical malpractice, and legal malpractice. He also can assist in drafting wills, trusts, living wills, and powers of attorney.
He was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Legal Skills in law school which he attended on a merit scholarship, and the Gamertsfelder Award for Outstanding Work in Philosophy while pursuing studies in legal philosophy. He pursued graduate studies in Applied Legal Philosophy during which he was awarded a research assistantship and during which he developed and taught a philosophy course to undergraduates.
Attorney Walter is a published author and editor who has contributed to many state and federal annotated statutory codes, digested opinions, legal encyclopedias, and comprehensive and specific annotated law collections. A small sampling includes the Annotated Law Reports, American Jurisprudence 2d, New York Jurisprudence 2d, Couch on Insurance, Washington and Michigan Annotated Court Rules, and the United States Code Service.
He has also served as a Colorado State District Court Law Clerk, which provided him a unique perspective of law as practiced from the bench and bar during which he analyzed, researched and drafted many opinions and orders for judges.
Mr. Walter is in good standing with the Colorado Bar, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and Arapahoe County Bar Association. He has also served as a mock trial judge for top collegiate and high school trial competitions.
