Mary Anne Walling joined the firm in 2001 and since that time has provided effective and dedicated representation of the firm’s medical malpractice clients. Ms. Walling brings to the practice of law her education and experience as a Registered Nurse. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science of Nursing from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing in 1971 and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Boston University in 1972. Her nursing experience included bedside nursing of critically ill and burn patients, the education of undergraduate nursing students and experienced nurses in the hospital setting, and research of nutritional and metabolic issues in critically ill and burn patients. She has authored and co-authored chapters and articles in nursing and nutrition. This education and training has provided her with the skill and ability to diligently represent her clients resulting in substantial settlements. These include settlements of $3 million for a man who suffered brain injuries as a result of a failure of his physicians to timely diagnose a post operative infection, 1.875 million for the death of a 50 year old woman who died after becoming septic as a result of sound wave treatment for kidney stones and $1.85 million for a 70 year old woman who died after the doctors failed to provide proper treatment while she received a clot busting drug. She became a member of the firm in 2011.

Ms. Walling graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 1987 where she lecturers in the School’s CLE program and is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in New York State and the Eastern and Southern Districts of the New York Federal Courts. Ms. Walling works at the firm’s Long Island Office.
