Mark P. Walters is a patent attorney with extensive trial experience in complex intellectual property cases. His litigation experience encompasses a variety of industries and technologies, including software, biotechnology, shoes and apparel, heavy manufacturing, novelty items, food products, highway safety products, wastewater treatment, pharmaceuticals and semiconductors.
In addition to litigation, Mr. Walters also maintains an active patent prosecution docket, taking disclosures and supervising the drafting of patent applications in several technical fields, including agriculture and software. Mr. Walters' technical background includes work in plant genetics and molecular biology. From 1996 to 1999, he worked part-time in a plant genetics lab with the Agricultural Research Service, the primary research arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he provided technical assistance to research projects investigating genetic controls of seed dormancy.
Mr. Walters is consistently selected a Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics Magazine (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009). Mr. Walters is a Barrister Member of the Seattle Intellectual Property American Inn of Court.
