The Honorable David T. Wall, Ret., joined Mainor Eglet after a distinguished career on the District Court bench. Judge Wall is one of the lead trial counsel at the firm based on a successful career as a trial lawyer and a trial judge.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Judge Wall received his undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Texas in 1982. After a one year hiatus from school to work as a radio and television sportscaster in Texas and Louisiana, David enrolled in law school at Marquette University in Milwaukee and graduated in 1986. He was licensed to practice law in Nevada in 1986 and worked at several prominent law firms in civil litigation. Judge Wall also worked as a Deputy Public Defender early in his career, including several years as a member of the Capital Murder Defense team. In 1996, David was hired by the Clark County District Attorney’s Office as a Chief Deputy District Attorney, where he prosecuted primarily homicide and other high profile cases. While in the District Attorney’s Office, he never lost a trial and achieved the Highest Possible Rating (AV) from the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory. In 2000, he was one of two prosecutors who successfully prosecuted the Ted Binion Murder Trial, the highest profile criminal case in Nevada history and one of the highest rated trials ever on Court TV. Closing arguments in that case were covered live on four local Las Vegas television stations and also nationally on Court TV.
In 2002, David was elected to the District Court bench to serve Las Vegas as a trial judge and was re-elected without opposition in 2008. Judge Wall was consistently rated by attorneys as one of the top two trial judges in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Judging the Judges” surveys each year the survey was conducted (2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010). In 2006, he was named one of the “500 Leading Judges in America” by Lawdragon Magazine after less than four years on the bench. David joined Mainor Eglet to once again pursue his passion of successfully trying cases after seeing firsthand, from the District Court bench, the quality of the Firm’s work.
For almost fifteen years, David was a member of the Las Vegas Founders Club, the charitable organization responsible for PGA, LPGA and Senior PGA Tour events as well as NCAA and AJGA junior golf tournaments.
Outside of the office, David loves to spend time with his wife Jill and their two children.
