Leupp, Thomas A.

Adrian Wager-Zito's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including antitrust, securities fraud and contract actions, as well as class action and multidistrict litigation (MDL) proceedings alleging personal injuries. She has litigated cases in federal and state courts throughout the country, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Adrian also represents companies and individuals involved in civil and criminal enforcement proceedings conducted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other governmental agencies.

Adrian was most recently involved in the successful dismissal of claims filed against the Washington Group International division of URS Corporation in federal court in New Orleans by a proposed class of residents alleging damages resulting from Hurricane Katrina. This case was dismissed on a motion for summary judgment, with the court finding that the government contractor defense was applicable to WGI's work. Also on behalf of the Washington Group, Adrian was involved in the successful resolution of purchase price adjustment arising out of WGI's acquisition of Raytheon Engineers and Constructors. In addition, Adrian was involved as trial counsel in Anchor Savings Bank v. United States, a case in which the court awarded Washington Mutual a $382 million judgment in a breach of contract case arising out of the 1980s savings and loan crisis.

Adrian is office coordinator for the Trial Practice in the Washington Office. She is also a member of the office's recruiting and mentoring committees.
