Paul Lekas is a counsel in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Investigations and Criminal Litigation Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2011.
Past Experience
Mr. Lekas has represented individual and institutional clients in criminal, regulatory, congressional and internal investigations as well as in federal and state litigation and arbitrations. He has significant experience in civil and criminal matters involving allegations of financial and securities fraud, insider trading, health care fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations and international antitrust violations. Mr. Lekas also regularly counsels clients in pre-litigation strategic settings and in connection with foreign legal proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lekas worked as an associate at Brune & Richard LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York City, where his practice focused on white collar defense and civil litigation.
Before attending law school, Mr. Lekas traveled domestically and worldwide as part of the White House press advance team.
Professional Activities
Mr. Lekas has been an active member of several bar organizations in New York City and has presented at numerous Continuing Legal Education programs on financial fraud and business law topics.
