A Kansas native, Roberta Vath moved to Louisiana to pursue a college education. Roberta holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of New Orleans, and in 2012 graduated cum laude from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During her time at LSU, Roberta excelled academically, making the Chancellor’s list five of her six semesters. She has received two CALI awards for academic excellence in coursework: one for her work in Decedent’s Estates, and one for her authorship of an article on adult adoption for Family Law Seminar.
Roberta spent a semester as an intern at the 19th JDC District Attorney’s Office, where she refined her legal research skills and learned courtroom procedure. The following semester, she interned at the 19th JDC Public Defender’s Office, where she drafted court filings and studied criminal procedure. Subsequent to her year of internships, Roberta was engaged as a law clerk with Damico and Stockstill. During her tenure as a clerk, Roberta drafted multiple appeals and applications for post-conviction relief, as well as preparing for entering the courtroom.
Roberta practices criminal defense, criminal appeals, and family law. She believes that all people are entitled to the fullest protections of the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Louisiana, and vigorously defends these rights on behalf of her clients.
