Peter Vogl's practice focuses on trademark, trade dress, false advertising, anticounterfeiting, copyright, cybersquatting, product disparagement, and trade secret litigation before state and federal courts, inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as challenges before the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Better Business Bureau. His practice includes trademark counseling and portfolio management on behalf of multinational and domestic consumer products and services companies. In addition, Peter advises clients on trademark and copyright audits, securitizations, acquisitions, and divestitures of intellectual property portfolios.
Peter has acted as trial counsel in cases before federal district courts in New York, New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Delaware, Texas, Minnesota, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Second, Sixth, and Federal Circuit.
Peter is a practice coordinator for the Firm's Global Trademark and Copyright Practice. He is a member of the United States Council for International Business, where he serves on the organization's Intellectual Property Steering Committee, responsible for its BASCAP anticounterfeiting initiative. Peter is also a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, the International Trademark Association, the American Council on Germany, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
