Mike Lee represents a wide range of companies, including many of the Firm's Fortune 500 clients, in complex real estate transactions, with particular emphasis on financing, leasing, and development. In addition to representing both lenders and borrowers in connection with construction and permanent financing, Mike has significant experience in loan restructurings, workouts, and other transactions involving nonperforming loans and distressed assets. Mike counsels developers and owner-operators in all aspects of the development process and has assisted clients with a variety of office, retail, industrial, hotel, multifamily, health care, and quasi-public projects. Mike also devotes much of his practice to advising clients outside of the real estate industry with respect to their acquisition, disposition, leasing, and other real estate needs.
Clients with which Mike regularly works include Bon Secours, CalEast Industrial Investors, Flowers Foods, KeyBank, Regions Bank, SunTrust, Trammell Crow Residential, Wachovia, and the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center.
Mike is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and its Real Property Section and is a frequent speaker on leasing, lending, and construction-related topics. He has served as a regional investment volunteer for the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta and chairs his office's annual United Way corporate campaign.
