Bob Lee represents clients in real estate private equity transactions, cross-border real estate investments, workouts, and real estate private equity fund formations. He is experienced in negotiating joint venture agreements, public and private real estate company mergers and acquisitions, and large portfolio transactions. He counsels clients in relation to distressed assets and workouts, and in connection with troubled joint ventures, investors and partners. He has formed funds to invest in properties, debt, real estate companies and platforms, and distressed assets in the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Asia, using a variety of U.S. and non-U.S. collective investment vehicles and tax structures; and he counsels fund sponsors in relation to ongoing fund operations.
Bob co-chairs Jones Day's Real Estate Practice and leads the Firm's real estate private equity funds practice.

Bob serves on the board of directors of After School Matters, a public/private partnership that provides out-of-school programming in the arts, communication, science, sports, and technology to Chicago teens in underserved communities.
