Claire provides legal counsel to manufacturing companies and service companies in the areas of products liability and premises liability. She defends claims on behalf of companies in slip and fall cases, elevator and escalator cases, manufacturing design and defect cases, negligent maintenance and installation cases, and employment discrimination cases.
Claire has handled hundreds of cases involving products liability, toxic tort, construction defect, and general liability matters. That experience has lead her to represent individual personal injury defendants, general contractors, and mechanical subcontractors. Claire also has significant experience representing manufacturers of products including elevators; escalators; automatic doors; commercial appliances; pesticides; respiratory protective equipment; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; public sector entities; and physicians, hospitals, and nursing homes.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Claire was a shareholder at an insurance defense firm in the New Orleans, Louisiana, area. At that firm she handled construction defect cases; products liability cases; premises liability cases; employment cases; toxic tort cases, which included asbestos, silica sand, and mold; and public sector cases.
Claire attended Northwestern State University where she graduated magna cum laude in 1992. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1995 from Boston University School of Law, where she served as an editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine and was research assistant to Professor Frances Miller. After graduating law school, Claire clerked for Justice Harry T. Lemmon at Louisiana Supreme Court in New Orleans, Louisiana.
