David S. Lee is an attorney in the Watkins Firm’s transactional and litigation department. Mr. Lee’s practice centers on corporate, business, real estate, intellectual property, and employment law matters. Mr. Lee provided and continues to provide general counsel to Fortune 500 companies and similarly sophisticated clientele. During his legal career, Mr. Lee represented both buyers and sellers in multi-tiered acquisitions with purchase prices exceeding $200 million dollars. Mr. Lee has provided extensive counsel for various companies with respect to corporate governance and shareholder matters. Mr. Lee has also drafted, reviewed, and managed over 100 commercial leases on behalf of his clients, including associated documents such as CC&Rs. Beyond an extensive transactional deal sheet, Mr. Lee engages in litigation on behalf of his clients and has successfully represented their interests in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Lee was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego, in the field of Religious Studies. During his undergraduate years, Mr. Lee was the editor-in-chief for a literary magazine and an editor for the university’s newspaper, The Guardian. Mr. Lee received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2006. Mr. Lee is also admitted to practice law in the Central and Southern Districts of the United States District Court as well as the United States Tax Court.
