David N. Vaughan, Jr. began his practice in Cartersville, Georgia in 1959 working with a trial lawyer. In 1962, Mr. Vaughan was appointed Assistant Solicitor General of the Cherokee Judicial District. In 1964, he was elected as representative of Bartow County to the General Assembly of Georgia. In 1966, Mr. Vaughan was re-elected to that position.
In 1969, Mr. Vaughan was elected District Attorney of the Cherokee Judicial Circuit. He was re-elected in 1973. After his tenure as District Attorney, he returned to private practice in Cartersville. Since that time, he has represented clients from northwest Georgia, in his practice areas.
Mr. Vaughan has an AV listing in Martindale-Hubbell. He was listed in the Georgia’s Top Rated Lawyers, 2012 Edition, in Criminal Law.
