Mokey was born on Feb. 14, 1942, in Greenville, N.C. In addition to his general civil litigation practice, Mokey advises clients in business matters, especially those related to real estate litigation and real estate acquisition.
Mokey joined White & Allen, P.A. in May of 2009. Prior to moving to the New Bern office of White & Allen, he had practiced in New Bern for 36 years under the banner of the Lee, Hancock and Lasitter, P.A. firm.
In 2008 he was named to Business North Carolina's Legal Elite in the area of Estates and Taxation.
Mokey earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1964. He was graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1973.
Following his undergraduate education, Mokey served in the United States Army from 1965 until 1968. From May of 1967 until May of 1968, he served with the U.S. Army Special Forces in the Republic of Vietnam.
Mokey is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and is admitted to practice in all courts in North Carolina.
An avid outdoorsman, Mokey has hiked through much of the Middle Atlantic area. He is also a Civil War history buff and loves both golf and fishing.
