David E. Larson joined Altick & Corwin in 1998 after accumulating extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He received his undergraduate degree (BA) in English and History from Wittenberg University in 1967, earned a Master of Public Administration degree (MPA) from the University of North Carolina in 1974 and completed his law school education (JD) at the Ohio State University College of Law in 1979.

During the first fifteen years of his career, Mr. Larson worked in a wide range of practice areas before eventually focusing his legal interests and expertise on Bankruptcy Law and Immigration/Naturalization law. Mr. Larson particularly enjoys his involvement with both of these legal specialties because of the personal rewards connected with assisting clients during times of tremendous personal stress.

Mr. Larson is currently a shareholder at Altick & Corwin and when working on bankruptcy matters, Altick & Corwin serves as an approved debt relief agency, helping people to file bankruptcy under the Bankruptcy Code. His years of experience in this specialized legal field enable Mr. Larson to provide caring and expert legal services to those who file for bankruptcy. Mr. Larson has a special affinity for this form of code-driven and non-adversarial legal practice, and he takes great pleasure in guiding his bankruptcy clients through this often complicated and somewhat daunting legal process.

Mr. Larson’s service in the Peace Corps in Turkey from 1967 – 1969 gave him an appreciation for people and cultures in different parts of the world. As a result, he enjoys meeting people from all over the world in his practice of Immigration and Naturalization Law, and he gains great satisfaction in helping people obtain work authorization, permanent resident status, citizenship, family reunification, and other benefits to which they are entitled under our nation’s laws.

Over the years, Mr. Larson has had the pleasure to consistently serve many distinguished Miami Valley business clients, including the Inkjet Solutions Division of the Eastman Kodak Company, headquartered in Dayton’s Research Park, and the Springfield-based James Leffel & Company, an internationally recognized manufacturer of industrial hydraulic turbines. Mr. Larson has also assisted many documented and undocumented residents in the Miami Valley area with Immigration and Naturalization services such as “green card” processing and Cancellation of Removal applications.
