Barbara Geddis Van Duyne practices exclusively in the area of family law. She began her career as a psychiatric nurse (B.S.R.N.) And then received her J.D. decree from Southern Methodist University. She is a member of the College of the State Bar, The State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation. She has been on the State Bar Grievance Panel ( past PEP Chair), and on the Supreme Court Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. She had served as President of the Dallas Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Although she litigates all family law matters, she is also a mediator and has been trained and practices Collaborative Law . She has been on the Board of Texas-Our Kids and was an active member of Target Kids in Court. She is also a barrister in the College of State Bar of Texas since 1994. She has been selected to the list of Texas Super Lawyers in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
