DAVID J. KURLAND has practiced law in the Pinellas County area for over 40 years. His areas of practice are primarily criminal law, family law and personal injury. Mr. Kurland graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1967 and Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.
In 1970, he was admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals. In 1973, he was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
He has served as an Assistant State Attorney for Pinellas and Pasco counties. He has co-authored the book LEGAL FIRST AID FOR TODAY'S HIGH SOCIETY -Everything You Must Know About Drug Laws and the Rights That Protect You. That effort was designed to inform citizens of their Constitutional rights when confronted by the police.
