Langerak, Joseph H.

Mr. Laner joined the predecessor firm of Laner, Muchin, Dombrow, Becker, Levin & Tominberg, Ltd. upon graduation from law school. His entire legal experience has been in labor-management relations law representing management in collective bargaining negotiations; arbitration; matters before the NLRB, the EEOC and similar state administrative agencies; and otherwise counseling employers on matters which concern management and affect employees. He has counseled private U.S. corporations that have facilities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico; not-for-profit institutions; and public and quasi-public employers. He has served as special labor counsel to the Mayor of the City of Chicago; and, acted as special labor counsel and Chief Negotiator for the Chicago Board of Education, the Chicago Housing Authority, and the O'Hare Development Program. He has drafted legislation, testified, lobbied and negotiated in the legislature on behalf of clients. He also is an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County.

He has authored many law review, newspaper, and trade association articles; has lectured extensively throughout the U.S.; and has also lectured on labor and employment issues in Japan. He has taught law students and managers in the private and public sectors on legal and practical labor-relations matters.
