Jeff Upton's practice focuses on complex corporate and commercial litigation, including the prosecution and defense of suits in federal and state courts in the areas of shareholder and partnership disputes; construction; intellectual property, trademark, copyright, and patent infringement claims; trade secret and noncompetition matters; and unfair competition disputes. Jeff has handled the defense and prosecution of lawsuits for many national and local corporations, including banks, retail store chains, real estate developers, consumer product companies, and large manufacturers.  He has extensive experience handling corporate successor liability issues, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and commercial real estate disputes.  Jeff has successfully tried dozens of cases in state and federal courts, obtaining multiple judgments listed among the 10 largest in Massachusetts in the last five years. Jeff is also an experienced appellate attorney and has extensive arbitration and mediation experience.
