Erin K. Turner is a shareholder of the firm. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, cum laude, in 2000. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, magna cum laude, in 1997. Erin graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1993.

Erin was named a Rising Star by in the legal community by Law & Politics Magazine in 2004 and 2005. As such she appeared in the December 2004 and December 2005 issues of Law & Politics Magazine, Mpls./St. Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business Monthly. Erin serves as a proud member of the Board of Directors of the Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau. She also serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee for the TASTE fundraiser event for YSB, and sits on YSB's Resource Development Committee. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the 19th District of the Minnesota Bar Association.

Erin currently practices in the areas of family law, litigation, real estate and business. She provides each of her clients with a high level of individual attention, and approaches each case with a high standard of professionalism and competence.

Within family law, Erin has handled cases involving divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, paternity, assisted reproductive technology, same sex partner separations, domestic abuse, division of marital and non-marital property, property valuation, spousal maintenance, and other miscellaneous family law matters.

Erin is a past member of the Collaborative Law Institute, a group whose purpose is to practice law in a non-adversarial manner to accomplish divorce with respect and dignity. Erin's client have the option of proceeding with their family matters using the Collaborative Law method.

Within her litigation practice, Erin has worked on disputes with and among businesses, government entities and individuals in the areas of real estate, contracts, municipal laws and other corporate matters. Erin makes frequent court appearances, and has successfully handled motions, arbitrations, mediations and trials.

Prior to joining Johnson & Turner, P.A., Erin worked as an attorney at Faegre & Benson LLP in Minneapolis, where she was a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. At Faegre, Erin had the opportunity to represent both large and small business clients involved in litigation, and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in each stage of litigation.
