GILES N. TURNER, ASSOCIATE, received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with highest honors, from Montana State University in 2003 and his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2010. While attending Franklin Pierce Law Center, Mr. Turner worked as a law clerk for an intellectual property law firm. As a law clerk, he interviewed inventors, drafted patent applications, and assisted with patent prosecution. He also assisted senior attorneys in the firm with intellectual property litigation, licensing agreements, and transactions.
Mr. Turner's professional concentration in the intellectual property field includes patent prosecution in the semiconductor, chemical, petroleum, material science, biotechnology, and mechanical arts, as well as intellectual property litigation. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Turner served as a process engineer for a multinational semiconductor manufacturing company. As a process engineer, he used statistical process control to adjust process parameters in low-pressure chemical vapor deposition furnaces.
He also served as a researcher for a multinational polymer manufacturing company. As a researcher, he studied emergent polymer technologies in a state-of-the-art research and development facility. In addition, he aided the polymer company with its international manufacturing operations.
Mr. Turner's professional memberships include the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, Tau Beta Pi, and the Idaho Bar Association.
He is admitted to the bar in Idaho and the District of Columbia and is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
